St. George’s Day Parade

Date: 3rd May 2022 Author: Jacky Bottrill

Most Groups in Richmondshire took part in the annual St. George’s Day parade and church service – the first one for over 3  years. The young people, leaders and flags congregated on The Batt in Richmond and then paraded in Groups up to  St. Mary’s church where the flags lined the path to the church entrance.

After the service, the parade re-assembled and returned to The Batts with a salute and “eyes right” given to The Mayor of Richmond  and the Chair of Richmondshire District Council.

Well done to all the young people who took part.
