Leaders and Helpers desperately needed

Date: 17th Apr 2023 Author: Jacky Bottrill

Richmondshire District Scouts provide scouting for many young people and runs Groups in  Barton, Richmond, Catterick Garrison, Colburn, Catterick Village, Reeth and Leyburn but we are desperately short of leaders and helpers. Some Groups have even had to shut sections because of lack of adult support, in particular Brompton & Catterick St Anne’s have recently closed down Cubs and Scouts due to lack of leaders and there is only one leaders for Beavers.

Volunteering for Scouts is:

  • good for your skills and CV – lots of training available
  • good for your health and happiness – meeting new friends and learning new skills
  • good for your family and community – giving exciting opportunities to young people

In short, it’s good for you!

If you have ever thought of helping young people, please, please, please do it now and contact us about opportunities available throughout Richmondshire.
